gamergirl 4,610 Posted September 6, 2017 I had vsg 4 years ago and lost 82 lbs; my husband had surgery the same day and lost 100 lbs. I started a blog to keep up with what I was feeling and eating, and that has now migrated to a full-blown food blog. But I wanted to share this yummy lobster bisque recipe that we used a lot during Post-Op/Full Liquids stage. https://www.twosleevers.com/recipes/post-op-full-liquids-yummy-lobster-bisque-14-gms-protein/ 8 1 FluffyChix, Strivingforbetter, lillian.b.white and 6 others reacted to this

CJ Sunshine 241 Posted September 6, 2017 so this Soup counts as a full liquid and not a thin puree? My surgery is scheduled for next week and I'm trying to understand this. Thanks! 1 gamergirl reacted to this
XYZXYZXYZ1955 675 Posted September 6, 2017 I want this so badly I would beg for it! I love lobster but became allergic to it for a couple of decades . . . then found I was over the allergy (weird, but apparently it happens). But didn't have a lobster before surgery!!! So . . . definitely going on the menu soon! 2 FluffyChix and gamergirl reacted to this

We used it during the full liquids stage.

We used it during the full liquids stage. Ah...my doctor has Stage 1 clear; Stage 2; full liquids; Stage 3 thin purees; Stage 4 thick purees; and finally Stage 5 solid food! LOL They all are so different. I also see you are a sleeve and I'm having modified DS...so maybe that's part of why they differentiate. Anyway, it looks like a great recipe that I will try after a few weeks! Thanks. 1 gamergirl reacted to this

bluepixie2038 18 Posted September 7, 2017 This recipe looks wonderful. After reading it, I know that I will love it. Your website is good, and the dishes varied and truly drool worthy. For a true foodie such as me, it was hard enough to find sites that offered several recipes I actually want to try. After seeing yours, I am doubly happy for a post-op resource, and because you have the ethnic food variety I believe I was searching for; thank you!Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you! I started the blog as a way to track my weight loss after the sleeve, but then I ended up showing people how easy it was to eat well while eating low carb. So I used to post a lot of recipes here. Thought I'd come back and see how things were going Thanks for sharing the blog. 1 vamping reacted to this
