I can sip Water, but it makes me burp and it's kind of painful. Is that normal?

Burping, hiccups, cough... It all still hurts me (4 days out) but getting better. I found that if I take too big of a sip I can feel the liquid going all the way down and that's uncomfortable. But with my experience, I am going through the same thing you are.
