Kiri007 6 Posted September 2, 2017 Hi, I had my sleeve on 22nd August, and haven't had any problems since (apart from the usual drinking too quickly, etc). I've been on full liquids since the day after surgery, and start on purees in 3 days. Since my surgery, I've noticed that I've been really cold, which is unusual for me, as I'm normally the hot person.I'm feeling healthy in every other way.Is this usual?Kiri007
Mly 15 Posted September 2, 2017 Hi Kiri,I'm the same way. Any time I begin to lose weight, there's a week or so that I feel like I'm living in an icebox (and I'm in Florida!). It should go away though. 1 RiaRia reacted to this
Brandeis 401 Posted September 2, 2017 The cold at first is probably from the saline drip. I was constantly freezing in the hospital, because...they were constantly pumping me full of room temperature liquid, UGH. After, it might mean an Iron deficiency -- which makes perfect sense since, uh, you're not eating. It should even out once your Vitamin intake is better! Pescador 1,374 Posted September 3, 2017 Very very common. Just cover up. It will pass. Many posts on this.
Kiri007 6 Posted September 3, 2017 Thanks guys. I don't think I have an Iron deficiency as I have haemachromotosis, which keeps my iron levels up. But I did wonder if it was because I'm not eating much. We are still in winter here in New Zealand, so it just means more layers, and more logs on the fire. 😁

Kiri007 6 Posted September 3, 2017 I'm glad I did it too, although it takes some adjusting. No, I haven't had any real issues. The first couple of days were pretty awful, but I think that's par for the course. Seem to be getting enough liquid down, and are enjoying all the Soups I'm making. How about you? All good for you? OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted September 3, 2017 I was cold for a year, then my body adjusted. I am normal now. Not hot all the time not cold either.
