Yesterday I had my first peanut powder smoothie with some yogurt and a banana.

This morning I have had the worse stomach ache of my life, and it's accompanied by fainting spells and vomiting.

The pain is so great that I come extremely close to completely passing out and falling onto the floor.

Sorry about this next sentence: I have diarrhea, but I about kill over while I am sitting on the toilet. And, I'm throwing up while I'm sitting there, all at the same time!

Has anyone experienced this from using the peanut powder, or have any idea what's going on with the fainting? I do not feel like it's the flu in any way.

i hesitate in calling my doc because I don't want to cause any waves in my getting the surgery.

Thank you so much for your replies.

Sounds like maybe an allergic reaction of some sort, but this whole experience is about your health. I really believe that needs to come first and you should call your pcp at the very least.

If it were me, I'd go to a nearby urgent care. I understand not wanting to mess up your surgery, etc. but you need to be healthy! Stay hydrated no matter what. Even if the Water just comes back up. Dehydration will get you a hospital stay quicker than you think.

I'm no medical professional. Full stop. But if it were me having those symptoms, I'd guess it was some type of food poisoning or allergic reaction.

Hang in there.

Have you called the Dr? I would.

No, but I did call a relative who is in the medical field. What I experienced happens to many people. I was told to lie on my back with my feet high above my head, and that helped tremendously with the fainting. All of this has to do with some very large nerve. It did all come back when I would go to the restroom.

I am better now, but I promise you all that I will talk to my surgeon about it. If it's not completely gone by tomorrow, I will go to the ER.

I cannot tell you how much your replies mean to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
