AmandaWho 158 Posted August 31, 2017 Hurts to drink feels like indigestion how do I deal with that it's hard to get Water n due to pain!I know your pain. It hurt to drink right after surgery. I had to drink room temp water and even then I sipped all day and struggled. Hang in there. It gets better. I've had about 65 ounces of water today! 1 tharp reacted to this

tharp 3 Posted September 2, 2017 I'm heading to the store in the morning for some gas x An hoping it helps the feeling I did well with my Water but even at times that made me nauseous I have also been walking a lot An prayer double time MeToo! Gas x strips and walking really have made a difference but knowing when I'm full has been hard except pain when food is moving thru stomache! I do miss food but I rather have a happy sleeve than a mad one it's a mentally thing I have to overcome!!!!
hz 0 Posted September 2, 2017 I found laying flat on my back with a heating pad on my chest helped with the indigestion. Also, warm liquids helps.

hz 0 Posted September 2, 2017 You will get there. Hang in there. I know it's very frustrating at the beginning.... you're thirsty but can't drink because it hurts... the Water might taste too sweet. I added a squeeze of lemon in my water.
ncoll 19 Posted September 5, 2017 The first week I also had pain with drinking Water. I drank room temp water and sipped very slowly. I was very worried but other posts let me know it would pass. It did. I'm almost 4 weeks out and the pain stopped after a week and I can drink ice water and take a normal swallow. It keeps getting easier. The pain stopped after a week or so. Good luck!Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
