graziellabs 28 Posted August 31, 2017 When I go into puréed foods am I allowed to have egg salad and puréed tuna salad. I can have scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes just wondering. I needed different options so I don't get bored.
Janet610 76 Posted August 31, 2017 My surgeon made it seem like as long as it was relatively smooth or chewed into oblivion it should be ok. 👍🏻 1 shanicebarry reacted to this
ncoll 19 Posted September 3, 2017 You won't know until you try it. Just eat one or two SMALL bites and wait a few minutes. Then see how it feels. If you get pain, stop. And don't over eat. You need to learn how you feel before you get full. I am 3 weeks out, trying new foods and this has been working well for me. I'm still not hungry so stopping is easy. I then go back to something I know works well.Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
msb-001 51 Posted September 3, 2017 Two weeks post op, I have been eating tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad, hummus, butternut squash Soup, and mashed potatoes plus of course the ubiquitous Protein Shake. I am mindful on the "salads" as far as the fat content (e.g., mayo), but so far, these are the things that have worked for me in puree stage. 1 Janet610 reacted to this
Dabearo 118 Posted September 5, 2017 Puréed for me was anything you could put through a fine strainer. eggs etc. was considered soft.

Janet610 76 Posted September 6, 2017 I have a X-ray question. I'm in stage 4 (sleeved on 8/15) had small pieces of chicken tonight and about 6 small green Beans. on my list from the nutritionist it says I can have fat free ricotta. Being Italian, can I add fat free egg beaters and a little fat free mozzarella and Parmesan to make it more like manicotti filling? The plain fat free ricotta is tasteless..... the fat and calorie count would still be low...
