Any sept 25 sleevers?

Recommended Posts

9/18 for me. There is a sept 2017 group. I will see if I can figure out how to link it.

I hope that works. I am nervous and scared but sometimes I dont get really anxious until right before something happens. I have my moments where I feel like this is not really going to happen and then realizing "this is happening."

SEPTEMBER 25th! Just got my date Yesterday!

What's everyone doing for Pre-Op Diet? I have to do something called Robard - a Meal Replacement thing 4 x day

I have a list of approved Protein Shakes. I get three a day, plus one low carb meal.

I think I'm allowed Gatorade and low sodium broth- will find out next week when I pick it up. I'm curious to see what the meal replacement options are. Will find out soon enough I guess

This last week of food, I have a few "last meals" planned with friends. It will be a while before we eat "real food" again.

How about you?

when do you start your Pre-op diet? I start on the 11th.

Hi Kikisue. Have you had your procedure? How did it go? I hope that you are doing well and weren't in too much pain or discomfort. I may have missed this in previous posts but who did your procedure and where? Also, how much did you pay? Sorry for all the questions but I'm very interested in getting this procedure done and would like to hear from someone who has actually had it done. Your BMI is close to mine (32) and I think that your experience, if I actually decide to go through with it, will be similar to mine. Thanks and I hope that the procedure was a success for you.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
