Togunrinde 36 Posted August 29, 2017 So I'm three weeks out. And the one week I didn't work out is the week I haven't lost weight. But I was also under the impression if I exercise too much at the rate of which I eat meals (under 800 calories in a day) , that would stall weight loss as well. So I wanted to compare to those who are probably in a similar situation. About how much exercise should we be getting in at this time
Sassy Sleeve 34 Posted August 30, 2017 Three weeks post-op tomorrow. I did not work out week 1. Week two I started, and I could not do as much as I thought I should be able to. This week, on Monday, I was helping my son lift a lawn mower (I was supposed to just help him balance it - not lift - but I think he forgot) and I found myself lifting more than I should at this point in time. That was physically difficult. I have to do a lot of routine walking around in general life events... but exercise walking is still a challenge - I get winded easily. More than before surgery and more than I think I should. I am losing frustratingly slowly - so I know I need to incorporate more exercise soon! Tying to build it up! etc. etc. etc. 440 Posted August 30, 2017 I exercise about five or six hours a week, but just walking. I walk during my lunch hour and a little around the park on weekends. There's a nature trail a few minutes from my work and I drive there and walk for about 20-30 minutes then back. I wish there was a route where I could go in a circle le instead of doubling back, but it's at least nice to be outside. Other days, I walk through the rich neighborhood nearby. Nice houses to look at if nothing else. I haven't tried to do anything strenuous yet but I'm a week or so behind you. 1 Sassy Sleeve reacted to this
