Véronique 238 Posted August 28, 2017 So, at church, we have this part of the Sunday Service called "Candles of Community" where people share their joys and concerns in life. I announced that on Tuesday, I'm going to be going under the (laprascopic) knife but I didn't specify why, which is why everyone was swarming me to ask why I'm having surgery. But at least something good happened with that: the members of the church in my town are going to organize to help me with the chores I can't do immediately after surgery. 3 myalis17, Ash_Bri85 and Shell0909 reacted to this
dhrguru 1,238 Posted August 28, 2017 Call me cynical- but I wonder if the help would have be organized if they knew the reason.... 1 Introversion reacted to this

I have nothing to be ashamed of, I've tried so many diets and exercises and I am satisfied with the necessity of this surgery. 2 ProudGrammy and Ash_Bri85 reacted to this

Véronique 238 Posted August 28, 2017 Here's the e-mail they just sent out: Quote Hi Everyone, Please read the following message from your neighborhood connectors, Mary and Sharon, and lend a helping hand if you can. Véronique Bellamy, a member of BVUUF, is getting surgery on Sept. 1 and will not be able to lift anything heavy for about two weeks. She requests help with household chores during this time frame--laundry, getting groceries, etc. If you can help out, please contact her at <my e-mail address> or <my phone number>. She lives in <my general location>. We all need a little help from our friends from time to time, so many thanks! 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
