Shave Ice Machine from Hawaii Shave Ice

Recommended Posts

This simple shaver can get the boredom out of your sugar free and beverage dilemmas! I've had mine for 4 years or more. I bought some of their delicious sugar free drink flavors and make my own shave Ice treats! I even put my Protein Shake on top of the ice for a mock 'ice cream' type treat and I loved it. Drinking a shake that way is fun, easy, not to mention, a faster way to enjoy your shake. You can purchase an easy and inexpensive shaver for your personal use and save money on Popsicles too. Here's the link to their website!!

I'm not sure but it's all on their website. I've used their full sugar flavors in the past and OMG! They are delicious and the sugar free flavors haven't been out but a few months but they have several and they are delicious as well. Their labels are clearly marked but I buy the gallon size and pour into small bottles so they are packed up. If you sent them an email, she would surely send one back. I'm from and live in NC. Their small company is like 2.5 hours from me and they are the nicest and most helpful people.

I do this with ice in my blender and use the sugar free Torani syrups. It's a nice Summer treat! A shaved ice machine probably works better, but I have one of those ridiculous professional blenders and it does pretty good!

Heck as much as those blenders are... I don't blame you! I'm not good at cleaning blenders and a lot of components. This thing, you just shave the ice and dry it and put it up. I heard about those syrups but I haven't tried them. I'm glad others know about how good of a treat it is!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
