Water! Water! Water!

Recommended Posts

I always drank around 40oz of Water but never fully got the 64oz I was supposed to. I finally started making a real effort to drink the full amount of water, even going above the 64oz, and I've lost 4 lbs in 3 days and I'm so excited but also mad I didn't follow the water rule sooner!!!!

I need to do that! I rarely get more than 30 ounces- today I woke up with a killer headache which I know is from dehydration. I just can't seem to push myself enough to get it in. Maybe I need to set a timer and drink a glass every time it rings. I know that I'd feel so much better if I did I just haven't been able to force myself to do it. Like I'm trying to sabotage myself somehow.

I use Mio in my Water otherwise I just can't do it. My doctor said it was ok and since then I've been drinking a whole lot more. It's no sugar, no calories and it's doing the trick!

Thanks just the push I needed to force myself to get the water in.

I have an app on my phone(WATER DRINK REMINDER) to remind me to drink. It's a free app and fairly simple to use

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
