Kim Benton 12 Posted August 26, 2017 I had my RNY on 8/23 and my biggest complaint is my belly pain Any time I move it feels like the inside stitches are pulling. I've been walking around and drinking, took some GasX. Does anyone have other suggestions?
Myaiku_Kuraitani 245 Posted August 26, 2017 Heat will help with the gas pains. I always used a heating pad. I'd try not to bend my torso a lot. If you're really concerned about the way your incisions currently feel, talk to your surgeon and ask questions about any concern you may have. That's what they're there for. ----------------------------HW- 273Pre-op Wt- 230SW- 226CW- 173GW- 130Ht- 5'2.5"DOS- April 26th, 2017"Only those who try will become." ~FFX 1 Kim Benton reacted to this
nat0410 0 Posted August 27, 2017 My surgeon told me that it's normal to have discomfort where they put stitches in the muscle to prevent hernias. Give it a few days & it gets better. My surgery was on 8/8, I still have a pulling pain but it is getting better - slowly. Are you taking Tylenol? That helps too.
Savagegirl 97 Posted August 27, 2017 Oh yes you will have that feeling for a couple of weeks until it all heals! You won't be pulling the stitches out, but it will feel like it. 2 Kim Benton and Ready4theday reacted to this
