So, this is my reintroduction I had a sleeve done Feburary 2016. I lost roughly 115lbs. Felt great!

Recently I have slipped and regained weight.....time to regain control and finally reach my goal weight once and for all! So, I am back to the board for camaraderie and inspiration.

This week I am back to a liquid diet, much like being preop and I'm loving how tiny my sleeve feels !! Love it !! Time to take control back....once again...

Welcome back! You can do this. Sometimes we have to get back to the basics to stay on track. I haven't been sleeved, yet, but I will be on September 8th. I battle with pcos and crazy cravings. But, I know it's those stupid hormones being out of whack. Let's crush it together.

time to regain control

@Nurse_Lenora

i remember you:rolleyes:

sorry you gained some weight.

important thing is you are

acknowledging that you have/

had a problem.

doing liquids now is a great

jump start to loose some weight

at a rapid speed. (making you feel

good) then continue with all that

you learned as a newbie. (water,

protein, etc.)

turn around -support is always near by

good luck

kathy

I am with you. I haven't regained, but I feel I am losing slowly. I was sleeved on 1/24/17, and I've lost 55 lbs. However, I feel I should be further along. I've picked up some bad habits, and I've plateaued. It was meant for me tho Llog back on today ti see your getting back to basics post. Excellent idea to do the liquid diet again. Good luck to you!

55lbs since almost February is actually pretty good for a female since females tend to lose slower than males. Dont resort back to full liquids, its not sustainable long term. Simply start noticing the bad habbits that got you into the situation in the first place, Eating C.R.A.P. Carbonated drinks , Refined Sugars, Artificial flavorings and Alcohol, Processed foods..

Get back to eating 5 or 6 smaller meals a day of good, real food.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
