MowryRocks 679 Posted August 23, 2017 I have been S L O W L Y losing weight since May. I have lost a total of 10lbs since May. I am 95 down since surgery 10 months ago. About 60 days ago, I started putting my money where my mouth is and started seriously working out an hour a day 6 days a week. I usually start with 30-40 minutes of cardio (running) and finish the last 20-30 alternating weight/strength training (arms, legs, abs). I have noticed real physical changes, my skin is now starting to become hella loose, but..no real weight loss. My diet is tight at 1200 cal per day, I am taking all my Vitamins, and I am consistently at over 100 oz of Fluid per day. A friend of mine who has not had WLS has been going to a kickboxing gym, 3 days a week and is not regularly watching her diet, she has also lost very little weight, but the gym owner told her that they usually do not start to see real weight loss results until after the 3rd month because your body freaks out. Could that be what's happening to me? I'm not going to give up the gym because I am so much stronger than I was 60 days ago, but it is frustrating to work this hard and see tiny results. Any thoughts? 1 trbl4me reacted to this

Any thoughts?I sure as heck hope so bc I've been killing myself at the gym and am not losing an ounce! Keep it up and be persistent, that's what I've been hearing. Eventually it will have to pay off! 2 Missy161 and MowryRocks reacted to this
jess9395 5,449 Posted August 23, 2017 If your body shape is changing you are probably building muscle which is denser than fat so per inch it weighs more. Plus when you work out your body holds on to Water. 2 cvrgurl and MowryRocks reacted to this
