So im 1 week post op and im able to drink 8oz of broth within 30 minutes... granted i feel really full but im concerned that maybe this is too fast? 3 days post op i was only able to drink 1 to 2 oz 4-5 days post op i was able to drink 4oz Now i can drink 7 to 8 oz Anyone experienced anything similiar? Meryline 546 Posted August 22, 2017 liquids goes straight through you. broth is basically flavored water. No need to worry. Did you do the swallow test after surgery? JewlzInFL 11 Posted August 23, 2017 I am the exact same as you! I'm 7 days out and drank about 7oz of broth last night for dinner. I worked my way up to this, same as you as well. I think when we move to thicker liquids and purée, we will notice a difference again on how much we can tolerate.
