HDScarlett 85 Posted August 22, 2017 Have any of you had to give yourself the anti blood clot injections? Surgery is Friday and my Dr prescribed shots for 2 weeks. I watched a you tube video with good tips, but I'm still scared of giving myself these!Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

Very easy to give and the needle is very small. 1 HDScarlett reacted to this

Did your nurse at the hospital not provide guidance/show you how to administer?
HDScarlett 85 Posted August 22, 2017 Surgery is Friday. I know they will show me but the freezing the area is a good idea. I don't like needles or pain Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
ssflbelle 829 Posted August 23, 2017 I had to take lovenox for 30 days. They showed me how at the hospital and Inever froze any part of my tummy. Had never given myself an injection before and was freaking out until I did it myself in the hospital. Be prepared for lots of bruising but very little pain. Think positive. You will do fine. 1 Mimi of 7 reacted to this
