Deleted Account 151 Posted August 21, 2017 I'm in the process of losing weight before my bypass, but I feel sick as a dog. I have no fever, just feel extraordinarily weak with a headache. Could this be low sugar or Protein? I've been on enough diets that you'd think I would know, but I've never felt like this. I'm not diabetic that I know of. Has anyone else felt like this? 😔
dbal9889 10 Posted August 21, 2017 That's how I'm feeling now. I'm doing my preop liquid diet and I almost feel as if I'm a diabetic and my sugar is low. I'm not a diabetic and presume it's part of my body freaking out over the change in my eating habits. Hang in there and remember that this will be worth it. 1 Deleted Account reacted to this
wookieprincess 7 Posted August 22, 2017 Also have you started removing caffeine? That can make you feel like that.

Devvan 3 Posted August 22, 2017 I do! I started my pre op liquid diet last Tuesday. I've been nauseous and light headed the whole way. And everything I smell makes me feel sick too. All I'm drinking are 5 Atkins shakes a day per my surgeon. I'm type 2 diabetic. I've lost 16 lbs though. That's a plus but, it's pure misery. 1 Deleted Account reacted to this

I need to find out if I am diabetic. I've eaten less than this when I've dieted before, and never felt like this. But congrats on your weight loss!!!!! 1 Devvan reacted to this

catsaretops 4 Posted August 23, 2017 Yeah I felt like that too! The worst part of the whole surgery I reckon is the pre diet. I felt worse then than I did after the surgery 1 Deleted Account reacted to this
dreamingahead 24 Posted September 10, 2017 I have been on my pre-op diet for 3days now. I feel very low energy, a drained type feeling all day long. Thinking my body feels like its in shock, wondering what in the heck am I doing..LOL But I just have to simply remind myself why I am doing this. I know this hard work will reward me greatly and I couldn't be more grateful to have this chance to live life much healthier/happy. LifeChangesLori 79 Posted September 10, 2017 I was exactly the same way the first 3 days then I started feeling better. I am type 2 diabetic as well. My blood sugars have been great on the liquid diet. I don't even feel hungry now as I think my body is getting used to this new way of eating.Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Deleted Account reacted to this
