Saintluver 1 Posted October 14, 2007 Ok, on my diet we can have one can of broth based Soup with the chicken and noodles in it a day. Do you think I could make my own chicken noodle soup instead of the canned stuff???

But questions like this are best answered by your surgeon or nutritionist, since they are aware of your medical history.
TulipStar 2 Posted October 14, 2007 I think so. I (or my husband) made all Soups from home recipes. They are much better than the canned stuff.
sweet_liberty 1 Posted October 15, 2007 I would think home made would be better for you ..less salt and preservatives.
Leena 108 Posted October 15, 2007 I would say go for the homemade Soup. My post-op diet had canned broth and my nutritionist said I could substitute with real homemade broth (less sodium and preservatives). Post-op I was also able to puree the chicken and carrots in the mushie stage.
