azgirl2 0 Posted August 19, 2017 I want to know anyone that was able to have the sleeve surgery at the same time as band was removed. Also anyone that has United Healthcare and how hard and what all did you have to do to get approved. Thanks for any assistance.
Perfectly Imperfect 1 Posted August 20, 2017 I had Lap-Band to sleeve revision on 7/26/17. I had the lap band surgery in 2006 and had to self pay because the insurance I had at the time wouldn't pay for it. I have United Healthcare as well but because I had already had a previous surgery I had to self pay again.Perfectly Imperfect 1 azgirl2 reacted to this
SIPS in Seattle 345 Posted August 20, 2017 I had revision band to SIPS DS in one surgery on 8/8/17 that was covered by my insurance. I have Aetna though not united healthcare. I had to do 3 mo supervised diet and 3 nut appts, a whole bunch of tests my doc required and approval only took a couple of days.Good luck to you! thiklips 13 Posted August 23, 2017 I just had my band removed (placed in 2010) and my doctors want to convert to gastric bypass but were currently going through ivf. If we weren't doing that the doctors said it would be about a 3 month waiting period for the revision. Were military retired all procedures are free except off. We have tricare. 1 azgirl2 reacted to this
