So, since I've been home I've had rather dark looking urine. I drink Water throughout the day. I'm not sure how I can drink more. Am I dehydrated or is something else going on? Just asking to make sure I'm not needing to move faster to see my dr. Have an appt Tuesday.

just because you're drinking "throughout the day" doesn't mean you're drinking enough.

one way to be sure - get a 64oz water bottle. fill it every morning. finish it by the time you go to bed every night. if you do that for a few days and your urine is still dark, it's doctor time... there might be a kidney issue.

but def do what i said before going to the dr so he doesn't just tell you "you're not drinking enough". take one variable out of the equation so you aren't wasting his time or yours.

Many surgeons use the 'pee test' to know if you're drinking enough. Your urine should be very light by mid day. If not, drink more.

Mine was dark and stinky. In part because I was peeing out all the anesthesia and drugs and everything that I went on in my poor body. Keep drinking. My NUTR recommended drinking salty broth to help with dehydration.

Is it bright yellow (like a neon marker) or amber (like maple syrup)

Neon is almost certainly the Vitamins

It's darker. If you look in the toilet, the dark is at the bottom of the toilet.

Just try to increase your Water. Tuesday is soon enough to see your Doc. (Unless of course you develop other symptoms).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
