Mary,
Welcome the one thing that is most important is, that you know how you are feeling health wise. Everyone can tell you why you shouldn't have vgs , but the choice is only yours to make.
I know the one thing that I have really hated is having the words morbidly obese written in my chart [emoji35] no I am not 260 or even 300, but I am just tired of carrying so much extra and having to pay more for clothes.
Live your truth. I am 5"0 & 253 which is the down 258.2 which was my highest weight. Which I would have never told anyone, but here we are all struggling trying to see what the other side looks like [emoji3] so don't give up and don't let anybody sabotage your dream.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I also hate that word or the look of your provider when they tell you "you are morbidly obese". I find so far finding a psych who does the evaluation is the hardest part because they ask for fee and honestly speaking I don't have any money. That is really discouraging me but I'll keep looking.

Yes major difference. I will call today. How did the evaluation went? Do they give you fast appointments? Kind of nervous want to go and not be told to come back although I don't have any issues that I know..... lol Heard they ask so many questions..... Let''s see

Omg its alot of questions lol but it's like a 5 min consultation.. But you do have to go back to meet the therapist.. They have quick appointments..and will attend to your needs. If your surgery is this month let him know he will work with you.

So tell me a little bit about your story. Did you have surgery already?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
