premier protein water, tropical punch - anyone tried?

Recommended Posts

The Isopure Lemonade is not that bad. Trying one flavor at a time. Hopefully will be able to tolerate a couple of the flavors

I have a couple flavors sitting in my kitchen but I'm too scared to try them after the first one was so awful. I think it's mostly the texture since it's so thick but maybe a little Water or ice will help.

I think the Isopure Protein Drinks are nasty. Too thick, and the texture grosses me out. I did Premier Protein shakes (banana, chocolate and vanilla) during my liquid phase (both pre and post op). Although I am tired of them now, they got me through. Whatever you choose, it is only temporary. Just get whatever you can stand. You might find that after surgery, your tastes will change. Whatever you like now might not be palatable after surgery. Good luck!

I drink the Protein Premier clear all the time I order it eight cases of time from Sam's online so they deliver it directly to my house. The fact that they only have the one flavor does get to me but I also buy packets of Crystal Light and sometimes put those in them that way I can change it to any flavor I want it works very well for me.

I like the protein2o waters from Amazon prime. Got my gym to start carrying them.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
