I was seeing a naturopath before my surgery and taking all kinds of Vitamins. Now that i can't swallow pills, just wondering what Vitamins is everyone taking or if you have any suggestions.

I was taking stuff for my thyroid, Iron, to regulate my cycle.

thanks:help:

Hi. I started out with chewable Flintstones for kids. But, then I came across Viactiv for Calcium and multi-vitamins. I prefer that because it's like a treat every time I take them. I have chocolate flavored, but did have caramel calcium. Wonderful.

I ordered my Vitamins from www.bbvitamins. They are especially formulated for bariatric patients. There are some for lap band surgeries and some for gastric bypass. I was given some samples and they tasted really good.

Thanks! I just ordered a 90-day supply of Multivitamins, calcium citrate, and Iron. I also found a source of chewable glucosamine at Vitamins: Alternative Health supplements & Vitamin Nutrition supplements - VitaminShoppe.com. I think I'm set! :)

I saw a commercial for something called Joint juice that I'm going to check into for my glucosamine. I just need to see how many calories and how much sugar.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
