Joei 9 Posted September 14, 2017 Thank you for responding with some positive information I can consider instead of name calling. There's always one in the crowd who really does need a net which is part of the reason I'm not even telling people. I only posted looking for suggestions on the best way to get home without telling anybody I had surgery. I am a responsible person and have no intention of driving down the road high on painkillers. I'm glad to hear things went well for you and you were able to get yourself home safely and uneventfully. I am earnestly praying the same for myself.
GassyGurl 428 Posted September 14, 2017 I was told that we had to have an actual person take us home, no Uber, lyft, bus, cab, etc. Can you confirm with the hospital? Maybe you could make friends with a local Uber and have them act like your friend who is taking you home. GassyGurl 428 Posted September 14, 2017 Also, they pretty much made me take a pain pill before I was released. I didn't need it and I didn't want it, but I didn't really feel like I had much of a choice. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal mobile app
Joei 9 Posted September 14, 2017 Thanks for the info. I kinda been thinking of those same things. I've also been giving Uber a second look. I'm just not sure right now exactly what I am going to do, but for now I'm going keep my secret.
Joei 9 Posted September 14, 2017 Wow, I didn't know they would actually kinda force that stuff on you. Maybe as long as it's non narcotic that would be okay. I guess I'll have to have several options ready and available to me whenever I get ready to cross that bridge which I hope will be soon. Thanks everyone for all the advice.
