I'm 4 weeks post op and I love fresh vegetables but the no longer love me! I tried cauliflower rice and one bite really made me bloated! Tried zoodles and same thing! I can eat canned veggies, but I was hoping to find out if anyone else had this problem!

Raw veggies were off my plan until 8 weeks post op. Hopefully in another month or two they will agree with you. I was about 12 weeks out before introducing them with any regularity. So there is still hope!

Yeah raw veggies were introduced for me week 8. And honestly? There are some I still struggle with at four years out. Cruciferous (broccoli, cauliflower) and carrots namely. They are hit and miss for me even cooked. I couldn't do any of them raw or cooked for more than a year.

Agree. You're too early for veggies. Wait another month or so. And when you try them again you need to chew them well even if they're soft to help get rid of the bloat feeling.

I just had my my first salad a week ago and will be three months post op tomorrow. I was not a salad fanatic previously but ate them. OMG! I enjoyed it SO much. It took me two days to eat it but it was awesome! I had spring mix, baby kale greens, tomatoes, cucumber kalamata olives, pickled beets, banana peppers, bread and butter pickles, crispy onions, salad toppings, Bacon, cheese, crushed croutons, and Blue Cheese dressing. I get a couple of pieces of everything and cut it up onto the lettuce leaves.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
