Went with Dr. Haucuz at Certified Bariatric Surgeons. http://www.certifiedbariatricsurgeons.com/ Friendly friendly people who took care of me really well. Oh nice! That's exactly how I found my dr.. a few people that work with my fiance have used him, so it was nice having that personal connection. 1 Mersh reacted to this
jess9395 5,449 Posted August 16, 2017 Oh my Lord go troll somewhere else. If you don't like this post than go away. This is childish to sit here and respond over and over throwing stones. It's your personality that's being reflected here not his. Find another post to hijack.. you made your point here, no one cares!!Wow I seriously wasn't trolling! Just explaining what my guesses were based on. Look at my post history and you will find I am quite helpful and share lots of information and support.Again shows you can't read tone of voice. And if you'd rather jump to conclusions without knowing anything about me, even about what I post on this message board, then BLOCK ME. Instructions are above. Each thread on here is for the whole group and all the hundreds of lurkers and the hundreds who will come later, to learn from. No one owns a thread. 3 Julie norton, ProudGrammy and Barbzilla reacted to this

Mersh 173 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure who is reading what, but there is no abuse... and half my posts come tongue in cheek. Lighten up. Jess is friendly and I have zero issue with her even though she made a ton of assumptions earlier in this thread that were completely absurd and out of line. I am pretty much the same. Nothing really bothers my sleeve, but I do have restriction and I purposely don't eat more than 4-5oz at a meal depending on what I am eating. This way I am satisfied, but not over full. 3 Berry78, papercliphip and Mersh reacted to this
Mersh 173 Posted August 16, 2017 @Apple1 Yea, I'm glad I'm not alone with that. However on these forums it feels that way, which is why I originally posted.

My guess is that there are many people that are the same, they just don't post. I log everything I eat in a food journal and I weigh all of my portions. It helps keep me accountable and accurate. I think we all need to do what is going to help us be successful. I have followed the advice of veterans that were successful and I know that has made a difference for me. 2 jess9395 and southernbellair79 reacted to this
Berry78 4,261 Posted August 16, 2017 Yeah, the only things I haven't tolerated the taste of are Protein Shakes and cake and ice cream, and noodles. So.. no big loss. No dumping or vomiting, just taste preference. I think lots of people would starve without the shakes, but it just forced me to eat real food asap. My 11 year old son caught a trout today. Ate that sucker up! (Ok, half a small one, but still...) Liked it better than preop. Do you know rainbow trout are related to salmon, and those in the wild have pink flesh? Mersh 173 Posted August 17, 2017 @Berry78 Yea, shakes are my staple still. Easiest way for me to get 50g of Protein. Trouts awesome. I caught lots when I lived on the west coast. Now where I'm at we have lots of white fish like walleye, pike and perch. 1 Berry78 reacted to this

southernbellair79 52 Posted August 17, 2017 Have you tried the Parmesan crisps? you can buy them at costco or make them and they are zero carbs! I eat Keto so the fat doesn't prevent me from eating them.. and they are crunchy, like a replacement for chips.. also you can have pork rinds.. high Protein and no carbs.. hang in there! You're doing great!!I second the parm crisps. I'm doing keto ( or trying too very new to the program) but it's a great protein packed no carb snack that gives you crunch and salt like a chip but much better. I think just 6- 10 crisp are like 10 grams of protein. 2 Mersh and A_new_sara reacted to this
