Keenikwe 82 Posted October 18, 2017 I had my surgery, technically yesterday, about 12 hours ago. It went very text book. My surgeon said it was boring for him lol. I was expecting the 4 incisions, but there’s one on my under belly... the “apron” is less and completely glued down. Anyone else experience this? And do you know why? My nurse should be back within 30 minutes and I’ll ask then but just curious if others got them as well 1 RobinJoy reacted to this
Henning 46 Posted October 18, 2017 I’m on surgery day and actually doing great. Had my surgery 11 hours ago and I had two weeks of liquid diet and it took 3 days to get over hunger pain and sugar withdraw headick. I lost 28 lbs on my liquid diet and I could eat all the weggies I wanted raw or steamed and sugar free popsicle and Jello with crystal light drinks. Good luck and you get there it is so worth it. Look at long term result and you do fine. 3 boliramirez, hothappyheidi and Keenikwe reacted to this
Henning 46 Posted October 18, 2017 I have 5 enry points and I have a removable Velcro band covering my tummy and I can remove it if I want but seems like it’s holfing stuff together so I’m leaving it be. I’m on surgery day as well 11 hrs ago and feel good no gas and just minor pain 2 RobinJoy and Keenikwe reacted to this
Keenikwe 82 Posted October 18, 2017 I have that air/gas pains - they were horrible at first but have lessened a lot ... I am experiencing gerd from my Water but my nurse explained that the pouch is so so swollen that it’s temporary and should get better with each passing 12 hours 1 RobinJoy reacted to this

Keenikwe 82 Posted October 18, 2017 “I got great sleep in my semi-private hospital room,” said no one 1 RobinJoy reacted to this
Henning 46 Posted October 18, 2017 I’m lucky to have private room. Had a great sleep hardly any pain. Just the normal bitaland blood draw wake up. So much better than expected 2 RobinJoy and Keenikwe reacted to this
Keenikwe 82 Posted October 18, 2017 I had requested a private room so my husband could stay overnight, but they are reserved for icu patients first and then they move down the reserved list
