DiamondBypass 18 Posted October 14, 2017 I had my surgery on 11th October. I was in hospital for three days and thy sent me home last night around 8/9. The pain I got when I was in the hospital wasn't too bad at all and the surgeons said it was a textbook operation but coming home was awful. The pain the gas, lack of sleep was terrible. I'm walking more and I'm going to try a Protein Shake as I've just had lots of ice chips and water!!! I believe it's going to be worth it but the pain recently is intense!!! Sunnyday25 172 Posted October 14, 2017 It was really bad for me last night for me its a ripping pain on my left side it is so sharp and long lasting and it radiates up into my breast last night was awful I actually have a pretty high pain tolerance and avoid pain meds like the plague last night I ended up taking two Vicodin and after about an hour and a half the pain had subsided enough for me to doze never really sleep but doze it was something

GlowingGal 61 Posted October 14, 2017 How much time do you a plan to take off work? I am a cashier supervisor so 8 hrs on my feet and some lifting and brain work my surgeon wants me off 4 weeks I am hoping to go back soonerSent from my SM-G950W using BariatricPal mobile appI'm taking 5 weeks which includes the 3-day Thanksgiving break. My doc recommends 4 weeks, but I have the paid time available, so I'm taking it. I have one more liquid diet week to go. I'm not drinking as much as I should today. I'll work better at it tomorrow. Does anyone have the drain tube? I'm getting one and I heard it floats freely inside and can poke the insides. I meet with my doc in a few days, so I'll be sure to mention my concern. I learned about the tube last week at my pre-op class.
