Water Intake/Vitamins Post Op

Recommended Posts

I just got approval for surgery today... scheduling should happen soon. Hooray! But I'm way nervous about Water. I'm the WORST about drinking water as it is and worried I'll get dehydrated really quickly. I'm also worried about malnutrition just because there are so many differing opinions. The nutritionist I met with said I can continue with bariatric Vitamins but that the most important was first couple of months post surgery to see how I do... did anyone stick with a specific water/vitamin regimen that helped? I'm WAY nervous! Thx

I was the worst with water before, and really struggle now 5 weeks out. You will struggle at first some people as its hard to swollow to much but that improves.

Crystal light, broth, teas, other ways to get liquids in should help you.

I can't help with the malnutition part. But I use an app to remind me about my Vitamins, and i think I will buy a one month pill case to orgonize meds or two weeks. :)

Good luck

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
