Critter87 1 Posted August 9, 2017 Hey everyone! After thinking of weight loss surgery for over 2 years, I finally made the call last week for an appointment. They were able to get me in today! I am so excited but nervous as heck! I am needing a sleep study 😞 and an endoscope test. I do get to pass the 3 month dietary restriction due to my insurance requirements for BMI. It sounds like I need to lose 25 lbs before I can schedule surgery and possibly another 25 on the preop diet. (Which I am very nervous about failing). I broke down last week and told my husband, who encouraged me to make the call. I am so thankful he is on my side but I do not plan on telling any other family members. Please tell me I'm not the only one out there like this?? 1 kajameetsworld22 reacted to this
kajameetsworld22 19 Posted August 12, 2017 I tried to talk myself out of it like 6 xs. I honestly think it's a lot of not wanting to make changes. For me food was never a friend but I always was in love with the flavors and the presentation and the culture behind the food. Eating and dining became a hobby for me. I didn't want to let that go. Not to mention I enjoy drinking. So now I have lost both of my hobbies. I feel much better. My blood pressure is already way low after only 5 days post op. I'm hungry but this too shall pass. Give yourself a chance to be a brand new healthy person. ️ 1 fclenz reacted to this
