I am 19 months post op, and I have to say the last couple of months have been extremely difficult food wise. I am pretty much ALWAYS feeling hungry and I am losing the battle on the nighttime munching and eating! The feeling is really acute at night when I am supposed to be going to bed, I try drinking Water and waiting but that isn't working anymore. When I do cave and give in to the feeling I do try to stick with a high Protein food and something that is healthy, yogurt or cheese and fruit, sometimes though this isn't enough. I just don't know what to do. I've had my labs done recently and they all came back normal except for my Vitamin D (extremely deficient), and my para-thyroid hormone had dropped some but I am no where near deficient for that. I am just frustrated and stressing out about this. In the last few months I have regained about five pounds, which I know is normal but is not what I want to be doing. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for how to beat the late night hunger monster?

I get hungry around that time but all I do is ignore it.

Though I did not get my procedure at Tufts, someone on the forums posted this. I like how detailed it is. What might be helpful is that the last stage, stage 5, has six times you eat per day. Perhaps this can be helpful. Good luck.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
