Breast Reduction-Help Please Bra Problems

I'm glad you know what size band you are, so few women do!

Lemme tell you... I was horrified by the idea of implants. I wore a 44G at my largest and never would have dreamed I could possibly need implants. Well at a 32 "Long" as I used to call them before surgery... I rolled em up into a 32DDD... my surgeon told me if he just did a lift/removed the excess skin I wouldn't fill a B cup. I got implants. Small ones, 300cc, and they look just right and in proportion to my body. Strangely they are still a 32DDD. Didn't have to buy new bras which was nice. I thought I would be totally weirded out, but I wasn't. I don't know they are there... and after DH got over his fear of popping them (my surgeon assures him he can't) he doesn't remember they are there either. Very natural.

I bought crop top bras rather than regular ones and 7 months out still wear them as I'm still healing. They are comfy, give support and last longer before you need a fitted bra.

Hope you find what you like !

Jess Thanks for the additional info. It sounds like we are alike in that 70 I was my largest. When the weight came off mine were also long down to my belly button. I rolled them into the 46DDD bra. What are the implants you have? Are they under the muscle. My concern is leaks and the plastic pouch or whatever it is made of. It is good to know they can't pop. That is odd that they are still 32DDD but they are perky and where they should be and not hanging down any more, right?. Did your insurance pay for them? I doubt that my insurance would pay for them so I am going to have to wait and see what happens after the tummy is taken care of.

Never heard of crop top bras. I will have to enter that into a search engine and see what they are like.

Today I wore the bra enchancersI bought yesterday. A few close friends thought I looked a lot better with them in based on the size my body is now. These can be removed if my natural breasts are in more proportion to my body n after the other surgeries.

Mine are what they call dual plane. The top half is under the muscle.

I have the standard issue silicone. My doc said I didn't have enough breast tissue to hide the saline bags and you would see ripples. Just to clarify they CAN pop but it takes a LOT of force like a car accident or prolonged CPR by a heavy hand. So it won't happen casually.

They are as perky as they should be for a 48 year old... I didn't want them so high and perky as to look fake. They are full and natural looking. And high yup. If you send me a PM I can send you a link to pix on my surgeons website where he has examples... my pix are up there and you can see.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
