I'm very nervous about everything I'm self paying my Dr is Mark Pleatman MD in Bloomfield MI. Any tips to help with the nerves. I'm 6'5" and 320lbs. 5 bulged disk and 3 herniated had neck and back surgery. Also osteoarthritis in lumbar area.

My surgery is 8/10 as well. I've found that reading through this site about all of the individual experiences has helped keep me calm. Having insight from those post-op really helps to know what to basically expect so you are not going in "blind".

Not gonna lie though, I'm expecting my anxiety to be off the charts this Monday-Wednesday. I also don't expect to sleep very well Wednesday night. 😉 I will be really busy with work though so that should help.

I guess my advice is to prepare yourself with knowledge and keep your mind busy with other stuff. Good luck!
