Purpose65 6 Posted January 25, 2018 I was scheduled for the 16th. It was pushed to the 30th because I blew it on the pre op diet. I ate stuff I don't even eat believing I might not have a chance to eat it after the surgery. My a1c was up a little. I learned a lesson . So I'm ready now. I realize now that it helped me train my mind on how little I would be able to eat after surgery. I know it is really hard to stick to the pre op diet but it is also really hard to stick to the post op diet. Except post op you won’t be able to cheat because you will hurt yourself. Just remember that it is all going to be worth it in the end!! No pain, no gain. Or in this case no pain, no lose! 2 bignich and Sedica reacted to this

I wasn't expecting to get surgery till end of February beginning of March but, they called this week saying they had a spot open on the 31st.. I kinda felt thrown in at the deep end. Wasn't prepared mentally or with my groceries🤦🏻♀️

Wasn't prepared mentally or with my groceries🤦🏻♀️ So important to be prepared. You can do it! I gave all of my food to a friend. Only items I kept were items I could eat on my new diet. Everything else went! It was a little sad but it also felt really great!!
SwimT 11 Posted January 25, 2018 The preop diet was challenging and I honestly didn’t stick to it. I did manage to lose some weight even having a few slip days. I had my sleeve 1/16/18 and I haven’t had any issues sticking to the post op diet. The challenge is cooking for my husband while heating me some broth! But if I can do it anyone can! Good Luck! 1 1 Sedica and Prsunshine_8 reacted to this

lillian.b.white 32 Posted January 25, 2018 I actually don’t have a pre op diet other than full liquids the day before surgery. I kind of wish I DID have a pre op diet... my surgery is Monday and I’m like WHAT IF I GAIN A COUPLE POUNDS AND THEY TURN ME AWAY?!?!

I kind of wish I DID have a pre op diet... my surgery is Monday and I’m like WHAT IF I GAIN A COUPLE POUNDS AND THEY TURN ME AWAY?!?! Do one anyways! My pre op was two shakes and a small meal. The small meal had to be high Protein, low carb. Snacks had to be either SF popsicles, Jello, or broth. 1 lillian.b.white reacted to this

I just got these adorable pillows in today just in time for my surgery! I’m going to be using them as stomach pillows for when I need to cough or sneeze or laugh. 2 Gotalose and Sedica reacted to this
