AZBlackhawk 122 Posted July 31, 2017 As I'm losing weight and feeling great, I was hoping that working out will rid me of my muffin top, so in the future, I would not require a panniculectmy. Anyone out there that didn't have a bunch of loose skin hanging down after all the weight loss? any advice for how to get rid of that loose skin from the belly without surgery? 🙏🏽
James Marusek 5,244 Posted July 31, 2017 According to the internet: A panniculectomy is when a pannus is surgically removed. A pannus is excess skin and adipose tissue, sometimes referred to as an apron that hangs down over ones genitals and/or thighs. This excess tissue can make it difficult to maintain good hygiene in the genital area. I did not have this done. It may also depend on whether you are male or female or how much overweight you started with. You might want to repost this under the forum: Plastic Surgery. blondie66 271 Posted July 31, 2017 Yes I don't need one. My lose skin is more in my arms. It really depends how you heal and where you carry your weight. The good thing with that type of surgery it can be covered in some instances by insurance where my arms and legs are not covered.
