Yep, we are moving into that cosy time of the year. (By the way, I am another atheist. How do I change my info in order to announce this?)

It is getting cold, I've felt like an ice cube for 2 days now. Since losing weight, I'm no longer sharing the 'lets always keep it cold in the house' mentality with my husband :o

We use to love keeping it at 60 degrees in the house.. now it's just him and I feel like I'm gonna die!!!

I currently have 3 layers on, fuzzy socks, a sweater and an afghan in my lap.

I just bumped the A/C up to 68.. I been doing this every once in a while and he goes around fussing about that's why he's been sweating lol.

:o Reason #1 for moving to TX from VA: no more (really cold) winters. People here will go, "burrrr.....when it's around 60 degrees." I just laugh. I miss the snow, but not the ice!

We don't get snow or ice, but 60 IS burrrr now.

I use to love it being cold.. Waaah. But I don't miss my layers of insulation :o

Go to your control panel, then go to edit profile. The area to change the user title is the first option under optional information.

Yep, I'm about to bring out my fuzzy socks, too. My feet feel like ice cubes, and they take forever to warm up in bed. I can't wear slippers, but I loves me some nice furry/fuzzy socks.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
