sunmeadow 82 Posted July 27, 2017 I was sleeved 9 days ago so I'm still checking these forums (fora?) and just hit a blast of prayers and letting god handle everything and needed to get back to some sense of normalcy and rationality.Somehow I made it this far without prayers or god doing a damned thing (except letting me get this fat to begin with! I totally blame that on him.) 4 Véronique, Julie norton, KartMan and 1 other reacted to this
Julie norton 2,850 Posted July 27, 2017 I respect all religions. We all seem to try to help each other...But please people quit asking for prayers for neighbors and strangers... and /or blaming or thanking a deity for gain or loss. You gotta do the work!! 4 Joann454, sunmeadow, Introversion and 1 other reacted to this
Véronique 238 Posted November 2, 2017 Precisely. If there was a god, why the hell would we need surgery to attain weight loss? Doesn't the Bible say something along the lines of if any two people ask something in his name, God will deliver? Pretty sure given the negative attitudes towards people of size, it shouldn't be too hard to find a second person to sign off on that, so to speak and god would just magic away the weight. ... But since he's a fictional character, that never happens. So, we have to do the work since there is no god to help. 1 Julie norton reacted to this
Luisajfc 402 Posted November 2, 2017 To each his own... As Julie mention above I also respect all religions, atheist or what ever. “There will be obstacles. There will be doubters.
