DianeJarrett 155 Posted July 27, 2017 Today, I was allowed, for the first time since surgery, to have coffee. Mmmmm...coffee. Okay, so it wasn't my normal large caramel latte with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was medium regular coffee, unsweetened caramel shot, skim milk, and 2 Splendas. Still, it was heaven. I finished every drop! The surgery was bad enough, but the lack of coffee was pure unadulterated torture. LOL Have a great day!!! 4 Pam_2-06-2017, mb30, SlieveMishAmy and 1 other reacted to this

DianeJarrett 155 Posted July 28, 2017 I miss it. I've had coffee three days in a row. It is amazing what a difference it makes. And it fills my liquid quota too!!

Not hard on my stomach, helps with Constipation (sorry) and to lose Water weight (I've been stalled). And I have so much more energy!
mb30 11 Posted July 28, 2017 so the bowel movements are working well and not too hard on the stomach sounds like all is well so that's pretty cool. I was booked in to have surgery last week but cancelled day before just chickened out of it to be honest the fear just got to me.

mb30 11 Posted July 28, 2017 Well I've just lost a few thousand pounds by cancelling at the last minute I guess I,ll eventually build up the courage to book it again and do it.

I'm so sorry [emoji52] In the meantime try doing Keto. It's great if you are carb sensitive. You may enjoy it. I do!
The 147 Posted July 28, 2017 I hate to admit that I had coffee before I was even discharged! I'm putting my, so far, pain and complication free recuperation to the healing properties of good coffee. 3 DianeJarrett, Joann454 and SlieveMishAmy reacted to this

I wouldn't have GS surgery either if I only had 20 lbs to lose!!!

I'm aiming for 140 lbs but ultimately I would like to get back to where I was right up until my late 20's which is around 125 lbs and not going over 130 lbs at this weight I feel life will great once again part of my reason for opting to have surgery was to help me get the weight down and going forward keep it off, I have been living in Hell last few years being over on the scales. DianeJarrett 155 Posted July 28, 2017 I can't believe any doctor would allow you to have surgery. Your BMI is far too low for it. Even at 200 lbs, I can't believe you had a BMI of 40+. Really? In the US, I don't know that a doctor would give you the surgery. What are the requirements in Ireland?
Joann454 1,329 Posted July 28, 2017 What's your height?
mb30 11 Posted July 28, 2017 My height is 5,7. When I started my journey into weight loss I had a BMI of 33, suffering from sleep apnoea, high cholesterol and breathing problems I was accepted for surgery at KCM clinic in Poland. I am now approx 168-170 lbs (weigh once a week) my target now is trying to get down to 140 lbs and eventually between 126 lbs - 130 lbs is where I would like to be so ultimately from where I am now to where I want to be is 42 lbs away. 1 Joann454 reacted to this
