Today, I was allowed, for the first time since surgery, to have coffee. Mmmmm...coffee. Okay, so it wasn't my normal large caramel latte with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was medium regular coffee, unsweetened caramel shot, skim milk, and 2 Splendas. Still, it was heaven. I finished every drop! The surgery was bad enough, but the lack of coffee was pure unadulterated torture. LOL

Have a great day!!! :):lol::1310_thumbsup_tone1::1320_punch_tone1:

I miss it. I've had coffee three days in a row. It is amazing what a difference it makes. And it fills my liquid quota too!!

That's good a few coffee's wont do any harm, how does it feel now after your surgery?

Actually, pretty good. Not hard on my stomach, helps with Constipation (sorry) and to lose Water weight (I've been stalled). And I have so much more energy!

so the bowel movements are working well and not too hard on the stomach sounds like all is well so that's pretty cool. I was booked in to have surgery last week but cancelled day before just chickened out of it to be honest the fear just got to me.

Well I've just lost a few thousand pounds by cancelling at the last minute I guess I,ll eventually build up the courage to book it again and do it.

Oh no! I'm so sorry [emoji52]
In the meantime try doing Keto. It's great if you are carb sensitive. You may enjoy it. I do!

Is that your weight on your profile? I wouldn't have GS surgery either if I only had 20 lbs to lose!!!

I'm aiming for 140 lbs but ultimately I would like to get back to where I was right up until my late 20's which is around 125 lbs and not going over 130 lbs at this weight I feel life will great once again part of my reason for opting to have surgery was to help me get the weight down and going forward keep it off, I have been living in Hell last few years being over on the scales.

I can't believe any doctor would allow you to have surgery. Your BMI is far too low for it. Even at 200 lbs, I can't believe you had a BMI of 40+. Really? In the US, I don't know that a doctor would give you the surgery. What are the requirements in Ireland?

My height is 5,7. When I started my journey into weight loss I had a BMI of 33, suffering from sleep apnoea, high cholesterol and breathing problems I was accepted for surgery at KCM clinic in Poland. I am now approx 168-170 lbs (weigh once a week) my target now is trying to get down to 140 lbs and eventually between 126 lbs - 130 lbs is where I would like to be so ultimately from where I am now to where I want to be is 42 lbs away.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
