Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 26, 2017 Em-route to the hospital as I type this for my 6:00am EST check-in for VSG! So excited and would just like some additional prayers up for a non-complicated surgery. See you all on the Loser's bench! 1 ElysiaDee reacted to this

Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 27, 2017 Thank you the well wishes everyone. I am feeling great. No pain felt at the surgical site but I suffered from nausea immediately after surgery and gas back pain all day yesterday. This morning it literally vanished. So I've been walking every hour on hour and feeling great today. 3 duke62, smb123 and gotime0810 reacted to this
Gabbee 53 Posted July 28, 2017 Yay!! Thats GREAT! How long do you walk for every hour? My doc says as long as I do all my walking this weekend i should be feeling pretty good next monday. But i dont want to over do it either!
Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 28, 2017 Yay!! Thats GREAT! How long do you walk for every hour? My doc says as long as I do all my walking this weekend i should be feeling pretty good next monday. But i dont want to over do it either! My doc only allowed me to stay overnight. I was doing extremely well after the first 24 hours. My surgery was scheduled for 7:30am - went to recovery by 10:30am and started walking by 2pm. The biggest concern was the nausea I suffered immediately after surgery but by 11pm it settled nicely. They gave me aromatherapy Patches for my gown and nausea sticker to place on my skin. Which helped tremendously. Currently home now and sipping every 10-15 minutes on Protein Shake @ Gatorade. Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 28, 2017 Also you won't overdo it with the walking actually. I did 3-4 laps on the hospital floor every 2 hours and would get up and sit in my Gerrie chair. So I was mobile
