Thank You. I'm about 20 pounds from my goal of 180, I'm 5'10", but I keep stalling the last month. I was stuck at 207lbs for a month, dropped 7 pounds in two weeks and now I'm stalled at 200 for over a week. I know it will pass but being so close to goal and stalling is frustrating. Still 101 pounds in a year, 71 since surgery, not to shabby :)

Not shabby at all ... you are kicking butt. When I was in the 190's , my weight would not budge for like 3-4 weeks but my waist was getting smaller and so were my thighs and abdomen . Then, boo all of a sudden 184... then stayed there a couple weeks then I flew through 170's and onto 160's and I stalled for a month , then I went into 150's so the stalls are part of it but through all of my stall , I continued to lose inches . I am a 4 or 6 in women's clothing depends on the cut. I never imagined being this small .. in high school I was a size 8 so I'm really little but I am healthy andso much more happier now. I truly thank God.

Girl you look so good. Dang those earrings look like they weigh 3lbs. LOL

Don't be afraid to get some counseling because of the divorce - I did that after mine 24 years ago and it really helped - then 20 years ago married the most wonderful man. Keep your head held high!!!

7 months! Wow! You look so gorgeous and young! I'm 38 and also 5'7, I hope I look even half as good as you when I get close to my goal weight! My goal personal weight is 150-155. I have about 100 to lose to get there and I should be able to finally schedule my surgery next month. Enjoy the single life, I find it is so much more peaceful and happier than being in a bad relationship. You are doing & looking so fabulous!

Also just FYI ELYSIADEE, I started out at 242 lbs .,. So you can do this girl and you will rock it as well. Stay encouraged.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
