telicious517 4 Posted July 24, 2017 I was banded in Jan 2013. 2 weeks ago after feeling like I was having a heart attack, not holding food or liquids down and drowning in my sleep I made a trip to the ER to find out the band had slipped again for the 3rd time. So...... after 2 slips and a host of other problems in 4 years my doctor decided it was time to remove it. Having a full time stressful job I tried to plan ahead and asked the Dr for a note and to fill out FMLA paperwork for my job. He would only give me 1 week off. Smh! Anyway, I had the surgery this morning and this is by far the worst pain I have every experienced. 3 babies, 5 abdominal surgeries, ankle surgery and wrist surgery and this pain surpasses all! Even the pain meds hey gave me intravenously did not work. Now I'm home in bed crying because the pain is so bad! Has anyone else experienced this. Btw: he said my band had eroded into my liver and he had to cut it away from the liver. The band had also eroded into my stomach as well.
