Protein drink tastes like Starbucks

Recommended Posts

I drink the vanilla or caramel Premier RTD Protein Drinks. I made some cold brew Decaf concentrated coffee. Making cold brew extracts the acid from the coffee and tastes a little sweeter. I pour 4 oz. od the cold brew over ice and then pour in the 11 oz. of the vanilla or caramel Premier and it tastes just like a Starbucks iced latte! I started on regular food today so now am down to one Protein Drink a day, but doesn't even seem like a Protein drink when I drink it this way. The Premier also tastes great with sugar-free flavored syrups added. Maybe some of you who are having trouble getting your protein drinks down will try this and like it better. They have a great cold brew maker on Amazon for 19.99.

Awesome idea! That would be a good Breakfast idea for people who don't have a lot of time before work.

I'm impressed you make your own cold brew! :1310_thumbsup_tone1: They also make a good cold brew concentrate at Trader Joe's for us lazies. :D

I know but I prefer Decaf and the ready made ones aren't decaf of course! It is so easy to make the cold brew!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
