Also driving I know my dr said two weeks but if your not on pain medication does anybody drive sooner?

I started driving day 2 post op. I never took any pain meds once I left the hospital and that was the only stipulation for driving that I received.

I started driving 3 days post op but like roxbaby, the only stipulation I got from my doctor for NOT driving was if I taking my pain meds. Luckily for me, I only took it the night I got home and I haven't taken any since. I made a point to get out and walk up and down the aisles at grocery stores and I went to the mall.

2 days after my op the hospital insisted I didn't drive to wear I am staying (no one knows about the op). So they drove me there, I unpacked my bags and walked 3/4 of a mile back to the hospital and picked my car up.

Day 5 I'm drinking good... a little scary. I'm not sipping!!! My BT told me to sip sip, shorten time until I cannot tolerate and now I'm scared! I'm taking regular drinks!! I'm the complete opposite! Any ideas on my situation?! I'm so scared I stretched myself out! At first I said cool... then I said oh crap!

I don't think so. I don't have to sip either. I can take pretty decent swallows. I just think its less swelling than others may have post op. Thankful for that because it has gotten easier everyday but I know my stomach is different but just adapting pretty well. You'll probably notice it more once you go to solids since liquid goes through so quickly.

does anyone else have a very noisey stomach. mine sounds like a witches culdren bubling away when ever I take a drink move anything.

Yesterday was really bad I thought it could be "dumping syndrom" but now I'm thinking it could be the gas they used to inflate my body moving around.

I want to go for a walk but am a bit concerned about not being close to the bath room.

Any thoughts / surgestions gratfully recieved

My stomach was soo noisy the other day about three days post op I was like what the hell was this??? But I think it may have had something to do with the gas they use for surgery because it hasn't happened since!

I was sleeved 6/27 and stomach and diguesting is still pretty loud. I hear it's like that during most the healing process and gets better after week 5. I just started real soft foods last tuesday, but l want allowed yogurt during liquid phase. Living off of scrambled eggs and string cheese at the moment but I still get faint a lot. Eating is annoying because I'm hungry but get burnt out on stuff so quickly.

Also, Barbie I am still adjusting too I'm so thankful the puree stage starts for me on Tuesday....

The one thing I'm loving right now is high Protein fat free Greek yogurt. It's my life savor right now

Pureed foods sound like fine dining right about now. Cant wait to get there lol

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
