Iwanttofitinmyweddingdress 31 Posted July 23, 2017 Hello,I had surgery June 6th, and I just vomited for the first time after surgery and now I have pin-needle like pain in my stomach area. Does that happen with others who puke? Is this normal? I puked because I had shredded chicken with too much mayo made by my mom while at work.I can't take anything from work for the pain, they only got aspirin. I also have the incision near my belly button that will not fully heal, there is a small deep hole that gushes fluids out. I dunno if it is related to it. Here is a picture of it. Let me know what you think. here is with the bandaid from my PC doctor (Primary Care) the Fluid kept coming out and I didn't know if it was even good for the wound to be covered by the fluid so I took it off after 2 days. 1 nativenm reacted to this
NikkiPen 51 Posted July 23, 2017 I can't advise about the vomiting, nor the after effects. My only time so far was after my first pieces of ice after surgery. What has your surgeon said about your incision? Some people are slow healers, but if you're draining, that might mean other things that your surgeon would likely be interested in knowing. Not so much your primary care, unless they have extensive experience in abdominal surgeries maybe. So, your needle like pain is not at the weepy incision, but your stomach? lalame 56 Posted July 28, 2017 The first looks like mine did. I ended up having an allergic reaction to the glue they used. It was itchy and red. The 2nd picture you should have checked as soon as possible. My incisions weren't covered. Could get infected. Good luck to you.
Noworneverthin 59 Posted July 28, 2017 I read ozzing was normal. It doesn't look infected to me. I wouldn't freak out and go to ER but I would follow up with Surgeon next daySent from my LGMS550 using BariatricPal mobile app
Missy161 395 Posted July 28, 2017 I'd have it checked out- I'm 5 weeks out and all of my incisions are healed well. I never had anything looking like this even at the beginning. Please have it checked out.Mich WHw 223, SW 217 CW 197.4 GW 135 1 fleab123 reacted to this
Berry78 4,261 Posted July 28, 2017 It isn't normal for the incisions to ooze after the first 2 days. After 6 weeks, they should be pretty much all healed up. This is definitely in need of attention. I would worry less about the pain after vomiting, but do let your surgeon know what you're feeling, all the same. Good luck getting it sorted out! 1 SuieQ reacted to this
