Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 22, 2017 So Ive been browsing the site and replied to many others with well wishes and finally my day is here on Wednesday, July 26th! I am just sooo excited that I can't contain it internally. I am literally salivating at the thought of the losers bench; the extra energy; the lighter body to finally hold a plank for 2+ minutes; easier push ups; easier stair climbing the treacherous NYC subway stairs. Just can't wait for life to finally be grand! And one NSV - I will finally since the age of 12 not have to go to the "Plus Sized" department!!! My pre-op diet with my surgeon is only required for 2 days but I will start it on Sunday instead. All Clear Liquids only - no Protein Shakes nor meals. May be tough but it will surely be worth it. Are their any potential sleeves for July 26th as well. Would be great to encourage one another.

Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 28, 2017 Good luck!!Sent from my SM-G920T1 using BariatricPal mobile appThank you! It's all completed now and i feel great overall. Only discomfort is I can't tolerate Water yet. But, I can get my Protein sips and Gatorade sips throughout the day to make my Fluid intake for the day. Will try to tackle water again on Saturday. Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 31, 2017 Just wanted to give an update. I started my clear liquid pre-op diet on Monday, July 24th and weighed 320 pounds. Had my sleeve on July 26th and weighed in prior to surgery at 312 pounds and as of right now I waited 7 days to weigh myself from pre-op diet and I am exactly 300 pounds 8 ounces. Literally one Protein Shake away from going into the 200 land. So excited!!! SW 320 PdsCW 311.5 pdsGW 182.5 pdsSleeved on July 26, 2017

Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 31, 2017 I am having my surgery Aug 14. Sounds like you are doing really well. Any hints to help me with those first few weeks?Congrats on receiving your surgery date. As for me - I had no pain except gas pains in my. Ack immediately waking up from surgery. I was also nauseous the first 24 hours. I started walking and sitting in gerrie chair; took my Gas-X strips and attached aromatherapy tabs to my hospital gown to assist with nausea. It went away by the 9pm that evening. I will post picture of aromatherapy tabs I used shortly. SW 320 PdsCW 311.5 pdsGW 182.5 pdsSleeved on July 26, 2017
Banded2003NYC 55 Posted August 23, 2017 Just wanted to provide an update. Today is exactly 4 weeks since my surgery date. As of today I weigh 283 pounds. From the 1st day of clear liquids to now I have lost a total of 37 pounds within 32 days. Totally excited about my progress. I did not exercise as of yet in a gym. I have walked daily though and considering I live in NYC - we walk everywhere so it wasn't hard to do. But, I will see how my second month comes along as I will incorporate a private trainer and cardio. Will Keep everyone posted.
