That's awesome! I'm in Thornton, so literally, hello neighbor! Things have been going great! I'm 6 weeks out from surgery, down well over 40lbs and feel amazing! How far into the surgery process are you?

I have my first appointment September15th with Dr Georgescu. I just did the seminar so far. And hey we're very close. Cool! Lol!

Brighton here. I'm in the Kaiser/Medicare program scheduled for Sept 7th with Dr. Rehab

Sent from my LGLS992 using BariatricPal mobile app

That's awesome! I've heard the kaiser bariatric program was good and quick. But I don't want to switch everything to kaiser.

Another vote for Dr.Snyder at Rose. I've had a wonderful experience with him and his staff. I was impressed with how much time he spend with me during my consultation. He patiently answered my questions...My husband had concerns but was sold on the idea of WLS after meeting with Dr. Snyder. He is very cautious and ensures that patients are well informed before surgery. And so far the follow up care has been excellent - I'm 6 weeks post-op.

I was just sleeved on 7/18 at Rose with Dr. Metz. He has been awesome! I was also super impressed with all the staff at Rose. They have a great support program for before and after. Good luck!

Born and raised in Colorado. I just had my surgery in Mexico (my insurance wouldn't cover it), but have some knowledge about bariatric surgery here. My mom got the Bypass from Dr. Snyder 15 years ago. He was one of the first surgeons in the state to offer it. My sister is scheduled to get her sleeve with him in September. The reason I would recommend him is because of all of the extra precautions he took and because of how much experience I personally knows that he has. I have actually been able to attend his pre-op classes with my sister and will attend his post-op classes with her as well.

Where did you go in Mexico? My insurance doesn't cover it either so I'm looking into some options. Thanks!!!

Hello everyone! My name is Natasha. I'm new to here and looking to have the gastric sleeve done. I been going back and forth with it since 2015 and had my pcp refer me last year and am finally going for it. I went to the seminar and have my first appointment scheduled with Dr Georgescu Sept 15th. Has anyone here had him as a surgeon? Where are my CO people? Anyone have to go through the medicaid stuff here in Colorado? How was it? Any recommendations?

Neat, I'll be having my sleeve on the 29th of August. :)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
