NikkiWorldJourney 70 Posted September 8, 2017 Doing good. 10 weeks post op as well. Down 60lbs but in a stall for the last week and a half. Started a size 26 and almost cried when I got into a size 18 jeans today and an XL top!!! Had to buy a few things! How much protien is everyone getting in a day? What did your Dr recommend for calories a day at this point? 2 Ema1485 and Oliviasmom1578 reacted to this

I had previously lost 100lbs on Weight Watchers and needed my gallbladder out ... when you lose a significant amount of weight in a short time it screws up the GB ... good lucky with surgery! 3 Missy161, nonickname4me and Nancy MBGC reacted to this
Missy161 395 Posted September 8, 2017 Having a bad week - lots of stress. Things beyond my control. My daughter is suffering from depression and anxiety and it came to a head yesterday. Realizing how much I have used food as a way to deal with stress. Yesterday was the worst- I didn't do too bad in calories but did eat half a piece of costco pizza otherwise not bad at all once I looked back on it , but the pizza made me feel gross and today I'm up about a half a pound - and have an awful headache--probably sodium and or blood pressure. I should have worked out the stress in the gym. I just never seem to have time or I never make the time is probably more true. Just needed to vent a min on here. Please say a prayer if you could.I'm 12 weeks out and down 38 lbs so that is a positive.Mich WHw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW
NikkiWorldJourney 70 Posted September 8, 2017 My dr has me on 3 months of gullbladder meds post op. Did anyone else get those to avoid the removal? No stones or problems before it's just preventative. 1 Nancy MBGC reacted to this
auntb1 52 Posted September 8, 2017 To Mich W (my twin in Sleeveland): I know just what you are talking about. When life is out of "control" I want something direct to change the way I feel for a while. We are practically hardwired by experience to distract ourselves with sensation--flavor and fullness--from awareness of the present reality. At least I am. It's so easy. The downsides are so (relatively) remote. BUT. You have done very very well and that can't be undone by 1/2 slice of pizza or a cookie. It's such an odd quirk of our minds that we focus so much on our failures and our successes can just whoosh by unnoticed. I am sorry that family troubles are weighing down your spirit right now. Take care of yourself and remember that God doesn't make mistakes. 2 Missy161 and dreamynow reacted to this

I tend to be super positive but when I feel so bombarded with everything I can just lose it!Tonight was a good one though- my other daughter needed to go to a mall in in Denver so I took her and her friends and rather than shop in the mall I went over to Marshalls for a bit--- I tried on some size 14 pants- they all fit. I thought- I'll try on some 12's for the heck of it- they all fit too! I was going to buy 2 pair but I thought, maybe I should check out the 10's- OMG! They fit! I haven't been a 10 since I was 29 years old!!! Over 20 years ago! I keep thinking- it has to just be that they run big! Can't believe that I really fit into a 10! So- I'm feeling a little better- still worried for my baby. But I know I haven't blown my diet all to pieces. Thanks for the encouragement !Mich WHw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW

What is the med? I tried something made of bear bile orso or something like that and it made me so sick- mine was after I had my gall bladder out because I kept getting stones in my liver that would get stuck in my bile ducts.Mich WHw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW
NikkiWorldJourney 70 Posted September 9, 2017 I think it's called antigall. I have to take it for three months twice a day after surgery. He has all his patients do it and it drops the chance of gallbladder issues down to 10% from 35% after surgery they say. 2 colleen 5595 and Missy161 reacted to this
Missy161 395 Posted September 17, 2017 Need to hit reset! Because of all of the stress lately I'm falling back into bad habits. Today I will:Drink plenty of water! 48oz+Eat plenty of protein! 60 g +Avoid carbs! I'm still losing but I'm not being as deliberate as I should. I haven't been planning meals and have been grazing. I am so afraid I'll fall back into bad patterns and won't attain my goal. Mich WHw 223, SW 217 CW 181 GW
