HELP---NEWBY Qestion

Hi everyone,

I have been following along as a guest because I'm not used to chatting online...don't even know how to attach a ticker! I'm SO SO impressed with all of you I logged in and am taking yet another plunge!

I was banded on Oct 5th and have realized after a few bites of food today that I need to not fall into that trap....Oh wait I alreadyhave---------------PLEASE tell me I haven't blown it?????????????????? I can't believe I am so very very STUPID!!!!!:):confused::confused:

You didn't blow it but be very careful.

You have got to let your stomach heal!!!

Just keep asking yourself why did I go through all this to blow it now that its done!

Maybe try different Soups or puddings with some texture. Are you feeling like you need something more substantial? Drink more so your not hungry. What do you think is setting you off?

You Stopped! I know you feel depressed and scared right now, because you feeled like you failed, but you have to remember that you stopped yourself after a few bites. You could have ate the entire thing, because I am sure you were hungry enough! Give yourself a break. This is a new start...a new life. Don't go into the old habits of calling yourself "stupid", it took a lot of courage to start this journey, and it is going to take a lot of strength to see it through. You have come to the right place. I find a lot of comfort at LBT, because someone is always here to lend an ear.

When ever I think about eatting I go to the before and after photos in the main forum and that takes my mind off of food. It gives me the hope and will power I need to keep going. Keep posting it helps. I hope my advice helps you.

Nobody is perfect they will be a few hiccups on the way - we have all spent years of beating ourselves up for being failures - don't beat yourself up anymore.

Take it one step at a time and you'll get there in the end.
