MelodyBronson 18 Posted July 18, 2017 I need help with accountability and my struggle of eating.....I had a revision from sleeve to Bypass on May 30. In the past I have had 2 lap band surgeries....then lap band to sleeve in 2012....with not successful weight loss and recently the sleeve to by-pass. I have no issues with dumping......I ate a cookie to see how my body would react....nothing happened.....The only time I feel any type of discomfort is if I get too full...but it seems I can eat more than most folks who have had by-pass. I struggle with eating when I am not even hungry.......I have struggled with this issue for years which is one reason why my WLS have not been a success. I currently work out 5 days a week: both cardio and strength. I am 57 years old. The struggle is REAL for me.......I probably should seek some type of counseling because of my "need to eat" when I am not hungry... I feel do disappointed and discouraged that I will NEVER lose weight..... I have lost 20 lbs, but that was my initial weight loss right after my surgery....I have not lost or gained in over 4 weeks.....

Remember you are so worth all of this and you are so strong. You have made the decision to be healthy for you and most people won't do it for themselves, but you are! It takes time. You got this!!!! 2 nikki7 and MelodyBronson reacted to this
Missy161 395 Posted July 18, 2017 I would suggest a support group in your area. My hospital has one that meets twice a month. I'm going to start going. We are here for you online but I really think something in person would be even better as an additional support. If there isn't one maybe your surgeon would support you starting one and would invite his other patients. It could give you something to look forward to that isn't a scale or food based reward. Just a few thoughts. We all need buddies and mentors who are there for us. Good luck!Mich WHw 223, SW 217 CW 200 GW
